Policy on Holding Out
No staff or volunteer of LFLR may describe themselves as a barrister, solicitor, or legal executive or in terms that suggest they are a barrister, solicitor, or legal executive to any person or organisation, except if they hold a full practicing certificate or similar qualification that entitles them to practise as a barrister, solicitor, or legal executive.
No communication sent by LFLR will describe LFLR in terms that suggest that it is a barristers’ chambers, a firm of solicitors, or any kind of Bar Standards Board or Solicitors Regulation Authority regulated entity.
Insofar as any staff or volunteer of LFLR is subject to professional duties relating to their status as unregistered barristers, they must comply with those duties and LFLR will take such steps as are necessary to enable them to do so.
